
A hospital trust director has been sacked after mis-diagnosing a patient, resulting in the death of the man. John Moore-Robinson entered Stafford hospital after a cycling accient, the director diagnosed him as having bruised ribs.
It is now believed the patient was suffering from a ruptured spleen and the directors fault caused death to the keen cycler. The family are now considering legal action against the hospital.
A spokesman for the trust stated:
"We sincerely regret that the actions of our staff caused additional distress to the family of John Moore-Robinson, and we hope this demonstrates our determination to hold our staff to account for their actions."
