Habbo Pets
How do I buy a pet?
Habbo Pets can be bought from the Habbo Catalogue, under the pets section. There are 3 types of pets to choose from; Cats, Dogs and Crocodiles. Each type of pet comes in a variety of colours, allowing you to find your perfect pet to keep you company.

Pets cost 20 credits each, and come with a basket to sleep in. In addition to the cost of the pet, you'll also need to keep your pet happy by buying it food, toys and a water bowl - each of which can be found under the pet accessories section of the catalogue.

Information & Identity
Just like your Habbo, your Pet has it's own identity also. To view information about your pet, such as it's name, age and it's health, simply click on your pet whilst it's in the room, and you'll be faced with a box that looks like the one on the right.

Age: The age of your pet depends on how long you've owned it for. For each day that you've owned your pet, it will be another year older - Habbo Pet years are equivelant to one day.

Hunger & Thirst: Depending on when you last fed your pet, it may or may not be hungry. There are several differant levels of hunger and thirst, ranging from stuffed, to starving.

Happiness: Depending on when you last played wit your pet, it may or may not be happy. Just like hunger and thirst, there are several differant levels of happiness.

Nature: Unique for each pet, effected by it's behaviour.

Taking care of your pet
Taking care of your pet is quite simple, as Habbo pets are easily pleased. To satisfy the needs of your pet, you'll need to purchase some pet accessories such as a water bowl, a pet ball and some food for your pet. Your pet will only need one portion of food each day, so why not treat it to a special bit of food, such as a chocolate mouse or a marzipan man.

When your pet gets thirsty, it'll drink water from it's bowl - however, make sure that you double click the bowl to refil it, so that your pet doesn't get too thirsty. You only need to purchase one water bowl, since you can keep refilling it by double clicking the bowl.

Monitoring how your pet behaves
Just like a real pet, your Habbo pet will change its behaviour and react to its surroundings. For example, you can see from the facial expressions, and what the pet says in the speech bubble, or how it greets you as you enter the room, how happy it is.

When your pet is hungry or thirsty, it will look for food or drink. If your pet cannot find any, it will come to you and beg you for some food or drink. Your pet will also get tired from running around your room, so every now and then it'll look for its bed to go and sleep in. However, if your pet can't reach it's bed, it'll sleep on the floor.

You can also use commands to interact with your pet, such as Timmy Sit. Your pet may do what it's told, but if it doesn't don't be put off, there obedience depends on there state of mind, mood and energy levels. Younger pets may also take a little while to learn and follow commands.

The following commands can be used by anyone:

Sit: Makes the pet sit down.
Lie down: Gets the pet to lie down.
Jump: Makes the pet jump up.
Speak:Gets the pet to bark/meow etc.
