Habbo eXperts (or X's), were players who had a lot of knowledge of Habbo. Thier role was to hang around in the Welcome Lounge and make friends with new Habbo's, chat to them, and teach them the basics of Habbo.

Habbo X's were not moderators, nor were they replacements for Hobbas. Habbo X's were simply expert players on the Hotel, who have passed a strict selection criteria to become a Habbo X.

On the 7th July 2008, Habbo eXperts were officially removed from Habbo UK, shortly followed by the rest of the hotels. The system was replaced with a new Habbo Guides system. All past Habbo eXperts received a badge and a rare Blue Sleeping Bag as a thank-you for their work.

When filling out an application, you had to make sure that you pass the criteria below, or you stood no chance of becoming a Habbo X!

1. Have you been visiting Habbo for at least 6 months?
2. Have you logged onto Habbo over 200 times?
3. Do you obey, and live by the Habbo way?
4. Do you like to help new Habbo's?
5. Are you patient & good at explaining things?
6. Do you have a Clean ban record on Habbo?

Habbo X's were split up into 4 teams who each wore a different symbol on their badge. Habbo X's who didn't have a special symbol were Habbo X's who were on a three month training program. The team leaders each had a golden X badge, to show they were the leader of the team.
